Terms & Conditions

1. EVENT OVERVIEW

 

UV Startup Run 2026 is a recreational and competitive running event organized by Urban Vault (“Organizer”), in collaboration with Fitizen India and other partners.

Participation in the Event is voluntary and at the sole discretion and risk of the Participant.

 

2. ELIGIBILITY

Participants must meet the minimum age criteria specified for each race category.

Participants under the age of 18 must have parental or guardian consent.

The Organizer reserves the right to deny or cancel participation if eligibility requirements are not met.

3. REGISTRATION & PAYMENT

Registration is considered complete only after successful payment and confirmation.

All registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Registrations are non-transferable between participants or categories.

The Organizer reserves the right to close registrations at any time without prior notice.

4. EVENT MODIFICATION, POSTPONEMENT OR CANCELLATION

The Event may be rescheduled, modified, relocated, or cancelled due to reasons including but not limited to:

Government restrictions

Weather conditions

Safety concerns

Force majeure events

In such cases:

No refund is guaranteed unless explicitly announced.

Registration may be transferred to a future edition at the Organizer’s discretion.

The Organizer shall not be liable for any additional expenses incurred by Participants (travel, accommodation, etc.).

5. HEALTH, FITNESS & MEDICAL DISCLAIMER

Participants confirm that they are physically and medically fit to participate.

Participants acknowledge that running involves inherent risks, including injury, illness, or worse.

The Organizer strongly recommends a medical check-up prior to participation.

Participants agree to assume full responsibility for any health-related incidents.

6. LIABILITY WAIVER

By registering, Participants:

Waive, release, and discharge the Organizer, partners, sponsors, volunteers, and affiliates from any claims, losses, injuries, or damages arising from participation.

Agree that the Organizer is not liable for:

Personal injury or death

Loss or damage of personal belongings

Delays, route changes, or event disruptions

Participation is entirely at the Participant’s own risk.

 

7. RACE RULES & CONDUCT

Participants must follow all race instructions, signage, and directions from officials and volunteers.

Any form of misconduct, cheating, or unsafe behavior may result in disqualification.

The Organizer reserves the right to remove any participant deemed unfit or disruptive during the Event.

8. TIMING, RESULTS & AWARDS

Timing results are provided on a best-effort basis using electronic/manual systems.

Results declared by the Organizer are final and binding.

Disputes regarding timing or placement must be raised within the communicated time window.

9. BIB, KIT & EVENT MATERIALS

Bibs and race kits must be collected as per communicated guidelines.

Bibs must be worn visibly and correctly during the race.

Lost or damaged bibs may result in disqualification.

10. MEDIA, PHOTOGRAPHY & PUBLICITY

The Event may be photographed, filmed, or recorded.

By participating, you grant the Organizer the irrevocable right to use your name, image, voice, and likeness for:

Marketing

Promotions

Social media

Future event communication

without any compensation.

11. DATA PRIVACY

Participant data will be collected and used solely for event-related communication and operations.

Data may be shared with trusted partners for:

Timing

Results

Communication

 

The Organizer commits to reasonable data protection practices.

12. SPONSORS & PARTNERS

Sponsors may offer promotional materials or products.

The Organizer is not responsible for the quality or fulfillment of sponsor offers.

Any engagement with sponsors is solely between the Participant and the sponsor.

13. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All website content, logos, branding, and materials are the intellectual property of Urban Vault or its partners.

Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution is strictly prohibited.

14. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

16. REPORTING TIME & EVENT SCHEDULE

Participants must report at the venue strictly at the reporting time communicated via email, website, or official communication channels.

Late arrivals may not be permitted to participate, and the Organizer shall not be responsible for missed starts due to delayed reporting.

While every effort will be made to start and conclude the Event as per the published schedule, timelines may be subject to minor changes due to:

Weather conditions

Crowd management requirements

Safety considerations

Directions from civic or regulatory authorities

The Organizer shall not be held liable for any inconvenience caused due to such unforeseen schedule adjustments.

17. PERSONAL BELONGINGS & VALUABLES

Participants are solely responsible for the safety and security of their personal belongings, including but not limited to:

Mobile phones

Wallets

Bags

Accessories

The Organizer does not provide storage or cloakroom services unless explicitly mentioned.

The Organizer, partners, volunteers, and venue authorities shall not be liable for any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings before, during, or after the Event.

18. PARKING & TRANSPORTATION

Parking facilities, if available, are subject to venue and local authority regulations.

The Organizer does not guarantee parking availability at or near the event venue.

​

Participants are requested to:

Make their own transportation and parking arrangements

Follow local traffic rules and authority instructions

The Organizer shall not be responsible for parking issues, fines, towing, or any related inconvenience.

PARTICIPANT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

By registering for UV Startup Run 2026, Participants acknowledge and agree that:

Timely reporting is mandatory.

Event schedules may change due to circumstances beyond the Organizer’s control.

Personal belongings and parking arrangements are entirely the Participant’s responsibility.
